The Brockton Area Branch NAACP held a debate that posed questions on a wide variety of issues facing the community to those who are running for mayor. The debate issues included diversity among public school faculty, the potential for a casino in the city, discrimination in city hiring practices, community policing, affordable housing, civil rights and fairness in the issuance of marijuana host community agreements.
