Advise, counsel and represent clients relative to federal, state and local licensing, state and local violation hearings and appellate hearings before the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission. Licensing of Restaurants, Liquor Stores, Farmer-Breweries, Farmer-Distilleries, Farmer-Wineries, Brew-Pubs, etc. Advocate on behalf of clients before state and local elected and public officials. Conduct community meetings on behalf of clients.

Cannabis – Medical Marijuana – Recreational Marijuana – Industrial Hemp

Advise, counsel and represent clients relative to state and local licensing, Local Permitting and Zoning, Host Community Agreements, Community Outreach Meetings, Locating Properties and Community to do business, Due Diligence Review, and Local and State violation hearings. Appear before the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources on behalf of marijuana and hemp clients. Advocate before state and local elected and public officials on behalf of clients.

Gaming Law

Advise, counsel, represent and advocate before the Massachusetts Gaming Commission and state and local elected and public officials on behalf of gaming clients. Represent gaming clients, gaming vendors and gaming employees relative to licensing, suitability and violation hearings before the Gaming Commission.

Government Relations and Government Regulations

Advise, counsel, represent and advocate before the various state and local government agencies, elected and public officials on behalf of clients relative to licensing and violation hearings.

Employment

Advising, counseling, investigating and representing clients relative to employment actions, including claims of discrimination, reasonable accommodations, disciplinary actions, wrongful termination; representing clients before various boards and commissions, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Massachusetts Labor and Workforce and Development, Massachusetts Industrial Accident Board.

Real Estate – Zoning and Land Use

Advise and represent clients in locating property to conduct their regulated business, which includes ensuring that the property meets all general and zoning ordinances and bylaws and negotiating and executing options to lease or purchase, lease agreements and/or purchase and sales agreements.

Advise and represent clients relative to zoning and land use issues before local planning boards and zoning boards of appeals to ensure that they receive the permits necessary conduct their business that they wish to conduct on the property.
